With over 17 years of experience in the fields of substance use disorders, prevention, case management, and re-entry services, Kristen Smith Williams is a dedicated leader in the non-profit sector. Her passion for change drives her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact. Currently serving as the Vice President of the Matrix House Program at Community Rehabilitation Center, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL, Kristen manages a municipal program in collaboration with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the City of Jacksonville, and Community Rehabilitation Center, Inc. Under her leadership, the program has flourished, providing crucial support and resources to individuals seeking recovery and reintegration into society. Kristen's approach is characterized by empathy, innovation, and collaboration, ensuring that every client receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.
Her strategic vision has led to the expansion of services, including enhanced therapy support and comprehensive aftercare planning, which are vital components in reducing recidivism and fostering long-term recovery. Kristen is known for her ability to build strong partnerships with local agencies, creating a seamless network of support that extends beyond the confines of the facility. Her dedication to fostering meaningful relationships has enabled the Matrix House Program to thrive, providing clients with access to a wide array of resources and services essential for successful reintegration.
Kristen is an alumnus of Bethune-Cookman University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She also holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Webster University. Currently, Kristen is pursuing her doctorate in Community Care & Counseling with a focus on Marriage & Family Counseling at Liberty University, and she is a Marriage and Family Therapist intern.
