Frequently Asked Questions
Community Rehabilitation Center
While there are no clinical guarantees in psychotherapy or psychiatry, our team is dedicated to this work because we have witnessed individuals achieve life-changing gains and significant improvements in their quality of life. At CRC, we believe that while every case is unique, our drive to help is constant.
We view treatment as a partnership focused on your specific goals. By pairing evidence-based clinical care with a supportive, "Whole Person" approach, we provide you with the tools and the environment necessary for success. Everyone deserves a chance to thrive.
Because healing is an individualized journey, it is impossible to say with absolute certainty how long your treatment will last. At Community Rehabilitation Center (CRC), we recognize that every individual arrives with a unique history, specific needs, and personal goals. Rather than a "one-size-fits-all" timeline, your treatment is a continuous process of evaluation. We work closely with you to monitor your progress and adjust your care plan as you reach new milestones for as long as it takes to help you thrive independently.
It is completely normal to feel uncertain about how therapy can help. Life often presents challenges that are difficult to navigate alone, and therapy at CRC provides a safe, physician-led environment to explore those needs. Our "Two-Pronged" approach helps you identify patterns that hold you back, build resilience for major life transitions, and achieve the "Whole Person" stability you deserve. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you or a family member about turning barriers into breakthroughs.
We understand that many people have reservations about medicated treatment; those feelings are a completely normal part of the process. At CRC, we believe in a "Whole Person" approach where your comfort comes first. Because every situation is unique, not all individuals require medication. Our professional staff will work closely with you to determine a personalized plan that may include therapy alone or a combined approach utilizing our rigorous "Brown Bag" medication safety protocols.
Yes, Community Rehabilitation Center (CRC) accepts many major forms of medical insurance. We understand that navigating coverage can feel like a barrier to care, and our mission is to turn that barrier into a breakthrough. To determine if we accept your specific insurance provider, please get in touch with our office today. Our administrative team will work directly with you to verify your benefits, explain any potential out-of-pocket costs, and help you find the most sustainable path to start your journey.
We are located in the heart of Jacksonville at 623 Beechwood St, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Our facility is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment where every neighbor feels at home while receiving "Whole Person" care.
Yes. We believe that a lack of transportation should never be a barrier to health. For individuals enrolled in our clinical and behavioral health programs, we schedule and provide door-to-door transportation. This ensures our seniors, veterans, and neighbors can reach their appointments safely and stress-free.
"Whole Person" care is our core philosophy. It means we don't just treat a single symptom or diagnosis; we look at the entire individual. By integrating psychiatric care, medication management, and therapy with social supports like our Nutritional Support program and transportation, we help you achieve total stability in mind, body, and spirit.
Absolutely. CRC is a community-first organization. While our clinical services require an evaluation, programs like our Emergency Food Pantry (Nutritional Support) are open to community members in need. Our mission is to strengthen the Jacksonville community by providing essential resources that turn barriers into breakthroughs for everyone.
To make your first visit as smooth as possible, please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card (if applicable), and a list of any current medications you are taking. If you are joining us for medication management, we encourage our "Brown Bag" protocol—simply bring all your current prescription bottles in a bag so our medical team can ensure your safety and precision in care.
CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accreditation is the gold standard in behavioral health. It serves as an independent, third-party confirmation that CRC meets rigorous international standards for quality, safety, and clinical outcomes. This certification assures our clients and stakeholders that we are committed to providing the highest level of evidence-based care in Northeast Florida.
Traditional clinics often treat specific symptoms in isolation. As a "Whole Person" medical home, CRC integrates clinical psychiatric care, addiction recovery, and social services—such as nutritional relief and transportation—under one roof. By addressing the root causes of instability simultaneously, we create a more resilient foundation for long-term recovery and success.
We view the family as an essential partner in the healing journey. Depending on the specific program, we offer resources, educational guidance, and support systems to help families understand the recovery process and provide a stable environment for their loved ones. Our goal is to restore health to the individual and harmony to the home.
CRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has served Jacksonville since 1993. Our operations are governed by a dedicated Board of Directors and an executive leadership team committed to fiduciary accountability and operational transparency. We are funded through a combination of grants, public-private partnerships, and value-based care contracts, all of which are detailed in our annual impact reports to ensure the community remains informed of our progress.
