About CRC & Our CEO, Reginald Gaffney
Reginald Gaffney founded the Community Rehabilitation Center (CRC) in 1993 and CRC was born from a vital necessity to provide a sanctuary for the underserved members of Jacksonville’s Northside. What began as a focused response to the challenges of mental illness, substance use, and HIV/AIDS has evolved into a fully integrated "Whole Person" healthcare center.
Today, CRC serves as a pillar of the Jacksonville community, providing a seamless pipeline between primary medical care, behavioral health services, and social welfare advocacy. We don’t just treat symptoms; we address the root causes of instability by providing economic development opportunities and removing employment barriers for those who have been historically overlooked. With over 34 years of local service, CRC remains a trusted resource where dignity is the standard, and recovery is a community-wide journey.

CRC's Mission
Reginald Gaffney has dedicated his life to empowering disenfranchised individuals and families in Jacksonville by providing integrated primary healthcare, behavioral health services, and social advocacy that fosters long-term stability, dignity, and "Whole Person" wellness.

Vision
To be the premier catalyst for community transformation in Northeast Florida, where every individual—regardless of their health status or history—has access to the resources and support needed to live a healthy, independent, and purposeful life.

From a Local Mission to a Multicultural Cornerstone
34 Years of Expanding Our Reach
What began as a mission to serve the minority community has evolved into a multicultural cornerstone of health, now serving more than 200 neighbors daily.
Over the decades, we have expanded our clinical reach beyond mental health to include substance use recovery and HIV services—ensuring that every individual who walks through our doors receives the 'Whole Person' care necessary to turn barriers into breakthroughs.
